Question about using ublock origin and noscript

Is using them together enough to prevent malware from just browsing? I know you can still get infected by downloading something, but if just browsing the web using them should protect the user from malware right?
I am asking this because I visited a site I occasionally visit and noticed that there is a new domain trying to connect to it. I believe it was blocked by ublock origin since it had the red color instead of the green one, …
