Question about tenable Nessus scans | allinfosecnews.com

Has anyone had a situation where you run a Nessus scan and you get back unsupported OS. You login and notice the OS is RHEL 7.4.4 but the scan shows Debian. I have had it happen to a few Linux boxes.

1. There is no Nessus agent installed on the box.
2. It’s just a basic scan.

Any insight or tips would be greatly appreciated. Also i am a first time user and am teaching myself which isn’t the worst …
