Purple Team training

I work in DFIR on the forensics side, but I would love to get a better understanding of Purple teaming and maybe move to a role where I could join in on a purple team event.
Anyone know of any purple team training? I know SANS has it but I try to avoid them when I can as what they teach can usually be found cheaper elsewhere.
