I just learnt that some Retailers are moving to digital only receipts. But it's not what I imagined, ie that maybe they email/text you a receipt. No, as described in the article I've linked below, the receipt is accessible via your online banking transactions. Directly through your bank.


I feel like this is a privacy minefield? Why does the bank need to know the details of each person's purchases.
