As far as I know, the classic for learning malware analysis is Practical Malware Analysis by Sikorski and Hong. This book goes through the different tools and techniques for analyzing malware; however, I was wondering if there are any books that, instead of starting from the tools and techniques, start from the various, popular, strains of malware and walk-through their analysis/RE/IOC extraction/deobfuscation/etc?
