Pop up phone camera for privacy

Am I the only one who likes pop-up camera phones because of privacy? I have a Oneplus 7 pro and just love the fact that nobody can snoop my front camera without me noticing(which I did couple times on firefox visiting normal websites). I thought we will be seeing more of these pop-up camera phones but people didn't like the physical mechanism. Now I am looking for a new phone but not sure what to get.
