I thought this sub would be best to figure out why one's email address needs to be kept to "ensure" that an organization doesn't send marketing emails in the future. For some background, I'm reading privacy policies for the hell of it and came across this what's in the title.
Are there any marketers and digital privacy lawyers in this sub that can explain why this is? Why can't my email address be completely removed and be done with it? …
