Privacy & Freedom in the Information Age www.reddit.com

I've been searching for a little while and whilst this questions seems to have popped up on various subs I really can't find an answer.

If I upload a photo to reddit via the app straight from my phone does the metadata go with it? Most specifically location/geotagging/coordinates. Does Reddit strip this data completely or could someone pretty savvy still get at it?
