Path to security engineering

I'm currently working in a less technical position in the cyber security field. After a year of work I understood this all GRC field doesn't suit me really well and I'd like to do more of a technical work rather than managerial one.
The position that looks appealing to me is security engineer's position. At the moment I am creating a path for myself to become one. I've been working on THM and HTB academy for some time already …
