I used the free search at Optery and found that a data broker site called "background alert" (dot com) has my info listed and won't remove it unless I upload/ sent a copy of my ID.

Ummmm, that's a no from me.

Am I overthinking it though? I just don't trust some shifty company to store an image of my ID, waiting to be data breached. Repeat with any other company who wants it and the risk compounds.
