Opting out of county public records

Hello,

Do any of you have experience "Opting out" of your counties property tax / deed public records. I've been on a bit of an internet scrub lately and would like to make it as difficult as possible to find my address via my name. I tried calling my county about this and they acted like I was insane, although I may have just been talking to the wrong person.
