I'm one of three system engineers in my small company. Due to the nature of the work that my company does, we have some stringent security compliance needs (e.g. SOC & HIPAA). ~~, including the need for all log data~~ Per Mgmt, we need to stay on-prem, which rules out any cloud/SaaS/managed solution.

Our current SIEM is Log360 from ManageEngine, but it's been unreliable and just difficult to use efficiently. We're also a Windows-only shop.
