Hi, what's best ? Assuming I'd use openstreetmap on either.

At first thought I'd have said the satnav,

* because it only receive broadcasts from satellites and sends nothing
* because it never looses signal (dot/arrow position on the offline map) compared to phones that rely on cell towers (i.e data/3G/4G coverage)
