Lenovo unveiled new ThinkPads at CES 2022 (https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/coming-soon/coming_soon_laptops/thinkpad-x1-carbon-gen-10-14-inch-intel/len101t0009) with some "productivity" enhancing features like:

  1. Continuously watching the person in front for their "attention" apparently in an attempt to reduce brightness to conserve battery life once they look away.
  2. Built-in Tile to track the laptop

Seems like every company wants to turn their laptops more and more into a mobile phone which is a privacy nightmare as it is and if you want to enjoy any amount of privacy …
