My LG soundbar has google assistant incorporated and it can’t be removed, only muted. I'm considering selling it, am I over reacting?

When I bought my Soundbar I had no idea that one day I would try to go googless and embark on this privacy journey. When the Soundbar is not muted its constantly listening and if I say a word that even resembles OK GOOGLE the bar will start talking to me, it’s really unsettling, but once muted its fine.
