My experience using prepaid gift cards as a CC substitute

This is how my first use of prepaid gift cards went down. For reference I am located in the USA. Rules and situations may differ. I believe the card I used is also available in Canada and Mexico, so I hope some of this applies for other NA peeps. Beyond NA, I do not know.
