More private screen recording app for Android

For some reason my Android 12 phone does not have any built in screen recording (I have tried all the help files to expose the built in one and it does not exist in this phone). Someone recommended Mobizen but the permissions seem a bit over the top, basically they collect location, app activity, device and other ID's -- all for marketing purposes i.e. third party use.They do supposedly allow you to request that data be deleted, but who knows …
