The Legislature of the US state of Montana passed a bill that would ban app stores from offering TikTok and make it illegal for the popular video app to continue operating in the state. The bill still has to be signed by Republican Governor Greg Gianforte. However, he can also veto or do nothing, making the proposal effective ten days after receipt without his signature. Gianforte previously decided to ban the use of TikTok on civil servants' work phones.
