Maximizing privacy when doing covid test at university

My university mandates regular covid testing which, to the best of my knowledge, is done by a contractor called Fulgent Genetics. We can either get tested via nasal swab or saliva swab. I’m concerned about privacy in the context of DNA and genetic material getting in the hands of the Chinese government or other unscrupulous entity as this story from 60 Minutes gets into.
