In my country, it is a legal requirement to register surveillance cameras with the police if they are monitoring public areas. People with cameras that only monitor private areas are also encouraged to register them.

Naturally the police are interested in this information. However, as far as I know, this register is not publicly available. Leaving aside the fact that it is probably a daunting task, does it make sense to also collect this information on surveillance cameras in Openstreetmap …
