M.2 pulled from computer can see it on Disk Managment but says No Media.

I pulled an M.2 from a computer. I plugged it into an adapter so it can be plugged in through USB to another computer. When I plug it in within disk management it says no media. What do I need to do in order to get the drive to show up in file explorer basically as an external hard drive?
