This recent article speaks to researchers using 176 data points using OpenGL Shading Language operations to get a fingerprint of your GPU.

I was wondering if an easy solution would be to add a browser plugin or a script that uses an overclocking service to randomly adjust voltage, core and memory clock speeds to throw them off the scent.

Anyone have any ideas as to whether that would be feasible? I don't know exactly what they are measuring so …
