Linux mint on an external SDD on old macbook, how private

Just wanted to check your opinion on my setup as a beginner, I don't have social media (only Reddit obviously), I don't post anything related to my personal info by any means, just browsing and generally watching videos and downloading stuff, I also use a vee pee en.

My threat model is not the three letter agencies, but sketchy data brokers and data hungry corporations, I also love Linux.
