Legitimate concern that someone placed some type of spying device under the hood of my car. How can I find it?

I believe my car has had some type of spying device placed in recently. I don't want to go into too much detail but basically and extremely wealthy family member's much younger sex toy has worked his way in to her house and is isolating the family member and eliminating anyone who would stand between him and the money. He eliminated me recently. He is a mechanic and my car was tampered with.
