Lack of active but high quality cybersecurity communities?

I'm a infosec student who is looking for other students to keep myself in check and motivated to keep on learning. I'm also interested in participating in CTFs with other people in the same situation. However, I haven't been able to find good communities that are both active and not totally skid "how do I hax0r my sister's instagram" level.
