Jumping from job to job

I am currently in a IT security analyst role. I know about what the avg market is for salaries and I know mine is below. I'm not upset that my salary is low but I know I cannot stay at this current role and expect to be paid market value. My question to you all is, can people in IT security positions switch jobs/companies regularly to achieve better pay or is this looked down on when getting hired?
