Join military for clearance?

I currently have 3+ years IT & infosec work experiences in private sector. I'm planning to work for federal gov or fed contractor.
It seems that my resume is filtered automatically w/o clearance despite they are able to sponsor one.
I'm thinking to join reserve. Will it greatly increase my chance to be employed in fed gov or fed contracting?
