I’ve had my email address for 10+ years is that bad?

I recently got emails saying people were trying to get into my kohls and Amazon account. I also got a notification from my credit card company my email and password was on the dark web. I changed all of my accounts over to a new email because I have no idea what’s going on. I closed my kohls and Amazon accounts as well. Is it good practice to change your email every few years so there isn’t so much history?
