I've been hearing more and more about GlobalID but I'm rather skeptical of the company. What do people here think of it? Legit? Just another data grab at our expense?

I'm curious what people think of the platform and the company. When it domes to the internet, data is the new oil, and I'm very skeptical that the company behind it isn't abusing the data they collect, and the downstream effects of signing up for one and using it. I know we can't get away from being tracked just about everywhere (cameras in public areas, cell phones, etc.) unless we live off the grid entirely, but there's a balance.
