Is there such thing as a virtual card system so I don’t have to give my credit or debit card info?

Basically, I am looking for something that allows me to create virtual numbers to protect my credit or debit card information so I don’t have to give out my actual information.

It’s particularly helpful when you have to deal with autopay system. I remember PayPal used to have their PayPal Key but they discontinued it last month.

So, do you know of such services?
