Is there a way to spoof a timezone for your browser?

While I know giving your browser accurate time is important for cryptographic signing and whatnot, one thing I never understood is why my browser needs to know my timezone. I've kept an eye on my fingerprint for a few months now to attempt to become harder to track and one thing that keeps annoying me is how my location stays pretty consistent because it always has the same timezone.
