Is there a recommended home alarm system that isn't Nest or Ring?

I need help with break ins. I've had 2 in the last year. I have cameras now that record to a HDD, but I also want an alarm as well. In both instances the window was broken and opened from the inside.

I'd rather not get a ring or nest.
