I am new to computer forensics and am trying to do some work in a lab environment. Please forgive me if this is a silly question.
I am attempting to recover a user account's password hash. I am using EnCase to do so. Looking at the list of user accounts in the SAM registry, I am only seeing their SID and an 'NT Hash' associated with each user account, and the 'Password' column is simply blank. Is the NT …
