Is playing CTFs, hackthebox useful for getting entry level positions in cybersec other than pentesting

I’m currently a student , who wants to get into cyber . So far I’ve learnt some scripting in Python, bash, Basic networking and solve problems easy machines from hackthebox/vulnhub in my free time. is there anything else that I should learn/focus on? Is this enough to get an entry level position in cybersec (if not pentesting).
