is Microsoft any better than Life360?

Hi everyone
My mum and sister have started using Life360 to see where each other are, and while the concept is a little creepy I don't mind it if it'll make my mum feel more safe.

I downloaded Life360 so I can see where they are but I refuse to give it my location after reading the privacy policy. Its blatantly using your location and movement data for advertising. So I noped out of that one.
