I was told recently by a "cyber security professional" that posting email addresses to public sites is not an issue. I'm not a cyber security professional, but I have built websites throughout my career, and have held a view similar to what was expressed by Dan Benjamin in this [2002 A List Apart article](https://alistapart.com/article/spam/):
