Is it possible to pay companies like Delete Me, etc. to truly remove as much information about you from the Internet as possible?

I guess I'm really looking for the most effective way to remove my identity from the Internet and make myself less searchable, realistically. I know it can't be done completely. But, if anyone has any resources that would help me achieve my goal within reason, I would greatly appreciate it.
