Is it ever worthwhile going to cyber security conferences as a student?

I was wondering it is worthwhile to attend this to earn more about the field or is it just good for networking? Because I don't think I can warrant spending $450 for a ticket if it's just networking but maybe I'm dumb. Let me know what you guys know and think.
Thanks in advance.
