The account creation asks for either an email id or phone number. I created a new account using my email id. It got instantly suspended upon creation. Facebook then says I can "request a review" of my suspension by providing my phone number. I feel like it is a roundabout way of making it compulsory for me to give my phone number. There was absolutely no reason to suspend my account.
