is cloud storage safe?

Hi, idk if that's the right place to ask this and i don't even know how to properly ask this. But is there a safe space on the internet to store your passwords or notes with sensitive informations? I generally write important stuff on a notebook but it really is much better to store information on my PC but I don't know how safe this is. I don't feel comfortable storing sensitive stuff on a txt file on my desktop …
