Is being more invisible good or also bad?

I was watching a show where missing people could almost be located because of help like location what apps they used etc. I'm sitting here trying to make my pc and Android as safe and private at possible and it hit me...what if someone tries to kidnapp me...wouldn't I want to be found more easier?
