I am a person that has no knowledge in tech, so excuse me in advance if my question is "dumb". Better safe than sorry.

I want to make the switch from Google Authenticator to Aegis, however I am still unsure about its security. Is it possible to hack Aegis? Especially since it is open source, wouldnt that make it more "accessible" compared to other bigger companies like Google?
