In a FAANG - worth pivoting to App sec?

I have over 15 years of experience in Federal consulting and recently got into a FAANG. Entire career has been in Infosec, Program management and got all the C acronym certs. I see a ton of application security engineer roles within the company and wonder if it’s worth pivoting to it and if it’s a good move. What are some certs, sources , skill set I need to pick up to get into it? I don’t mind learning to script …
