Imported Authy account entries are encrypted and I don't know how to decrypt them

I installed Authy on my phone from Playstore and made entries. I installed the windows app as well on my PC and logged in via the mobile number I had already provided. It required prompt permission from my phone which I approved and I managed to log in. I can see my entries but they are encrypted and unusable. I don't understand why since I don't remember doing anything of the sort.
