I'm really trying to understand how many cyber attacks actually get through.

I'm trying to find a statistic like incident probability rate of cyber attacks. Or even just data on how many cyber attacks certain types of companies can expect over a period of time, and of those, how many actually get through/cause damage? Is there a good resource you know of for this type of information?
I'm a student working on a project and am really struggling to find these numbers.
