I'm aiming for a DevSecOps role in the future

I'm currently a DevOps engineer. I have good foundation in security. I'm planning to attend a SANS Institute training next year. I was thinking that a training from SANS will be very helpful for my journey getting a DevSecOps role. What are your thoughts? What was your experience? What did you do?
