If to escape an abusive situation, I wish to remove the SD card and sim card from my Samsung Galaxy phone, would that be sufficient to prevent tracking or must I use another phone?

It is a galazy A52. When I leave, I could get a new sim card (I do not live in the US) with my ID but first i must know if this phone is usable or if i should sell it away.
