iCloud hide my email vs SimpleLogin?

I’ve looked everywhere (okay, up to google page 2) and can’t seem to find any legit recent discussion about this.

All my devices are Apple but barely use any iOS/Mac native software so that’s no issue to me. What’s your take on iCloud vs SimpleLogin?
