I am typically inclined to just provide the information voluntarily but with having your data sold by every company under the sun and the bombardment of spam mail I’ve started to decline seeing as I don’t typically use reward programs and don’t benefit from the emails more times than not.


I’ve been getting pushback at retailers too. Has anyone stood their ground and found success when declining to provide PII?
