i know this is a bit of a noob question, but it's actually kind of hard to research - because whenever i do, a lot of people will just say "HTTPS good :)" and not really go into it

so HTTPS hides some info from your ISP, right - like, they'll know I go to twitter, but not **where** on twitter i go, right?

what about protection from my peers? like, does https protect from packet sniffing? would my family …
